Work to Begin September 21, 2026

Passaic Valley Water Commission is committed to providing our customers with high-quality drinking water and service. As part of our on-going improvement program, we are installing a combined total of 3,100 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe on DeMott Avenue from Paulison Avenue to Third Street and on Madison Avenue from Hawthorne Avenue to Jewett Avenue. Please note that parking and access may be restricted for limited times at these locations.

Please be advised that this work is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 21, 2026, and will be completed near the end of the year. The working hours will range from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

INCONVENIENCE IS TEMPORARY – IMPROVEMENT IS PERMANENT

This effort may result in some unavoidable noise, disruption of service and discoloration to the water. Customers are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing), as staining may occur. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will make every effort to minimize the disturbance and will work closely with local police and officials to reduce traffic problems.

IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS

Please call our customer service team at (973) 340-4300 (option 2) during regular working hours.
