Passaic Valley Water Commission Issues Boil Water Advisory for City of Paterson
Due to a 30-inch water main break near Hinchliffe Stadium, Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) has issued a boil water advisory for residents and businesses in the entire City of Paterson.
This advisory is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
Immediate Actions Required:
- Boil Water Before Use: All water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and washing dishes should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute. Allow the water to cool before using.
- Alternative Water Sources: Please use bottled water if boiling is not possible (PVWC is working on setting up a water distribution site).
Reason for Advisory:
The advisory is a precautionary measure to ensure the health and safety of our community, our top priority.
Ongoing Efforts:
PVWC crews are actively working to address the issue and restore normal water service. We are conducting thorough testing and will provide updates as they become available.
